Interviews can be very nerve-racking, but there’s no need to be nervous if you are prepared. Labor Solutions Inc. is here to help you prepare for some common interview questions for a warehouse position.

Sometimes the questions will be basic ones about your skillset and the experience you have. If you have experience working with machinery, that’s something that would be beneficial to share. If not, you can still tell your interviewer that you are willing to learn or are good with your hands. Your availability will be another selling point they will ask you about. Warehouse positions tend to have 24-hour running times, and they will most likely need people to work shifts at times when most employees are unavailable. It is a big plus for you if you can work those shifts. You may even get paid more if you work the unpopular shifts.

Interview Questions for Warehouse Positions

Q. Give an example of a time where you did not get along with a coworker, and how did you resolve it?
Now is not the time to talk about how much you disliked previous co-workers. Just explain a time when you successfully navigated a confrontation, making sure to choose your words carefully. This is your chance to show that you can peacefully resolve conflict and rise above differences for the sake of the company.
Q. What is an example of when you didn’t do your best or did not do a good job.
This is always a difficult one to answer. After all, nobody goes to a job interview to talk about their failures. It’s still important to answer honestly. The interviewer recognizes that no one is perfect. Your answer will show your potential employer that you observe your performance and learn from your mistakes.
Q. Give an example of what you would do if equipment wasn’t up to standards. If you have experience with this problem, then you won’t struggle with this one. If you haven’t come across this, explain what you think would be the best way to approach the problem. This often includes notifying management and preparing yourself for the next time it could happen.
